AI-Enabled Safety and Performance Assurance for Swarm UAV Operations
A survey on making AI-driven drone swarms safe and reliable enough for civilian use. It maps the field on two axes, lifecycle stage × failure source, into a coverage matrix for mature areas and open gaps. The survey also tracks distribution shift, learned-policy opacity, and emergent behavior.
Two tiers: coordination (communication, formation control, route planning) and dependability (reliability, anomaly and intrusion detection, test and validation).
